Using newspaper to clean windows??
I heard last night that using newspaper with windex is actually a really good way to clean your windows.
Is this true?If so, why would you use it, wouldnt black ink get all over or not? Thanks.

Nope! I was afraid of that until I tried it. It really works... Probably one of the great mysteris of the universe.
But now I use Windex and newspaper every time I wash my car and my parents' cars.

Windex sucks, it streaks way too much. Try using a foam cleaner like Invisible Glass. It doesn't have any soaps that streak, and is completely safe for tinted windows. Good stuff.

If you have tinted windows, DO NOT use Windex unless it's the ammonia-free kind. The ammonia that most household window cleaner has in it will eventually fade the tint on your windows. Just an FYI...
Steel wool and window cleaner works very well. I have never tried newspaper though.

not all types of newpapers work well, but most do. It's the ink that the newpaper is printed with. The ink grabs the dirt and absorbs it all. Thats why after you wiped your windows, the ink is all faded and stuff... and if you notice, its very clean and cheap. Why do you think some bums in the streets in run upto your car with some windex and newpapers?
Well, I cleaned my windows today and wow!It works really well. no white fuzzy things from the paper towels.
This is the way to go

i use the "SprayWay" brand foam window cleaner(white and blue spray can) and it works damn well. i think most dealerships use this brand, atleast the one i work at does. i never tried newspaper before.
just go down to a auto window shop and buy the industrial window cleaner they use. I bought some from apple auto glass and the first time i used it, it was so clear i almost put my fist thru my driver's window. they leave no streaks
newspapers are the shxt for cleaning windows. There has to be a reason why all the bums be using it
but seriously, it works really well.
