Default non vtec to vtec

I swapped my accord f22b2 block with a vtec head in order to use the vtec distributor does the wire harness have to be the vtec one or what do I need to do

Check the FAQ at the top of the page for wiring up the VTEC head, you will need to install the VTEC ECU and a wire to power the VTEC solenoid.

There was no need to install the VTEC head to have an internal coil distributor.
