Default ignition timing and hondata s300.. help required

good day
Engine : JDM b16a stock head and block
ECU : hondata s300
With the stock cams I had no issues setting the ignition timing as per ( select set timing enter 16 degrees and adjust the dizzy to suite)

I have installed dual valve springs and replaced the cams the exhaust is +2 and -2 intake.

I am unable to set the timing to 16 now.

I found some info not sure if it was correct.
1 cam degree = 2 crank degrees.

Therefore I set ( the set timing in hondata to 20 degrees ) and in doing that the crank lines up with 16 degrees.

Is this correct . If not please advise.

thanks for the help

I have never used Hondata, but if you changed the cam timing on the intake camshaft you will need to adjust it back with the distributor. There should be an option to lock base timing with the S300, you will want to set it back to 16 degrees with the distributor with the timing locked. I wouldn't recommend compensating with the timing like you have.

^ thanks

There is a lock base feature.

Tried the second time.
Set the base to 16 and added the timing in the map
