I want to upgrade my exhaust to DC Sports. They have it at Pep Boys for $80. I was seeing if anyone has or knows someone with this muffler. My car is straight pipe & welded exhaust right now. The type of the muffler is called DC Sport Oval Black Stainless Steel Stealth Series. I wanna hear what it sounds like before I buy it. I also looked on youtube. no use.

 

Well the more volume the muffler has, the more it will reduce noise. I would use a resonator with it.

Im sure itll sound fine.

 

You say you tried Youtube...but did you really?

In the future, skip Youtube's search, and use Google. Punch "dc sport stealth muffler site:youtube.com" into Google, find the first Civic, and boom.

 

resonator is a must just a muffler is the worst sound you can ever have sounds like a big bee hive.

 

If you're looking for a cheap, weld-on muffler, I would go for a Thrush Turbo muffler. I have one on 2.5" piping with a Magnaflow high flow cat, and a Magnaflow resonator, and it sounds great. Stock sound at idle, no highway drone, and a deep throaty sound when you open it up.

 

I bought a yonaka cat back off Amazon for like 225

Sounds amazing Even with a test pipe instead of cat. I would look at it for budget exhaust

 

I have no cat or resonator. Only a DC sports muffler at the end. The shape and size looks just like yours except its polished instead of black. But its chambered. Not straight through. I love it. Probably takes away like 2 or 3 hp but who cares. It sounds deep and there is no rasp or riceyness. Can take pics if youd like.

 

Really there is no real tech in this thread and it probably should have been closed in the beginning.

The youtube presented demonstrates the sound qualities.
