No adhesive AFAIK.
There are the screws where the front mud guards attach.
About ~10(#27)clips that go up into the sill, from underneath.
About ~10(#30) clips that are hidden behind sill going into the side of the car that hold the sill in place, which I do not think you can see.

It has a metal U channel inside it, if it is opened up and no longer holds shape it most likely is corroded inside and needs replacement.
