Default 1991 CRX Restoration out of Texas

FIRST OFF MERRY CHRISTMAS! This was my gift to myself this year....

Short back story. My name is Andrew, born and raised in Houston i'm 25 and finally back in a Honda. First car i bought when i was 15 back in October 2005 (check my join date lol) and it was a 2000 Civic SI. It was a clean fun car until motor got locked in a flood in 2008. Slowly started to build it for club racing and had a few Honda's a Miata a truck a van and another truck in between just lost interest in the car game and worked away hopes of having fun. Which brings us to now... Daily driver is my 2006 Tundra and just purchased this 1991 CRX HF for 1300 to make into a daily and keep miles off the truck as well as gas money in my pocket.

Car was spray painted or hand painted a smurf blue..only God will ever know why. Its an all original 1991 CRX HF, Red, d15b6, only modifications were a crx-si trans due to the b6 trans going out and a 4-2-1 header of some sort. Onto the pics for some better detail.

NOTE: THIS WILL BE MORE OF A NICE SLOW LOG FOR MY PERSONAL SELF....SORRY....
NOTE2: THESE ARE ALL CAMERA PHONE PICS...SORRY...

Previous Cars...
2000 civic si 2005-2009

1995 Integra LS 2008

1996 Civic EX sedan 2009

1994 Miata M Edition

NOW.......on to the CRX....
These pictures are the morning after i got it home. Trailer got a flat on the way home from BFE where i picked it up the night before. It was sunk to the bottom of the car in mud. Previous owner pulled it out with his four wheeler.

As previously stated the owner sprayed it a smurf blue....right over the red.....and blacked the hood and ruined all window trim.

Next Post for Interior Before Shots

On to the interior....
As previously stated...a lot of dirt, rocks, but luckily not much trash. and the original b6 trans was in the back a long with a few trim pieces and a lip.

Driver Door/Fender

Driver Door/Interior

Driver Footwell

Seat Covers

Transmission

Center Console/Climate Control/Dash

201k

Going to try to repair/reinforce if not just replace.

cracked dash....meh

Hopefully next post will be an interior clean/detail and list of stuff to replace/fix.

Haha what's up Chris!

Og Wagon thanks man! Yeah its going to be a long road but I've been looking for a car to bring some life back into it for a while. Time will tell but I'm excited.

Should have some clean up pics today and begin investigating/addressing rear hatch leak issue

Nah only on 88-89 models I believe. After that they became pilar mounted.

OP good luck on the build. If you can revive this one you'd be my hero!!!!!

Haha thanks for the encouragement and inspiration guys!
I've uncovered some body damage so before anything really i'm going to fix that and repaint the car. I'm in a serious limbo between white and red. red would be nice to keep it original but white would sure look good next to/behind my truck. Regardless all mouldings and plastics will be kept black.

Did clean the interior quite a bit and will have some pictures up soon. End of the year push at work so its been madness.
