Default My Honda Build started with a DC now an EJ8

Hello honda tech!
Glad to finally be apart of a forum of cars we all share a passion for,


ive slacked for ever signing up for this and sharing my honda story.

in june of 2011 i had just graduated high school and
bought a 91 da,
lowered it, header, intake exhaust, ended up sliding out in the northwest snow and aquiring some damage, ended up selling it (still regret it i loved that car)
sorry for the lack of pictures, i broke the phones i had pictures on
so i dont even get to reminese

sold the car march 2012
drove a little ford ranger for the summer and about


july 2012 i got bit by the bug again and wanted another integra
watched craigslist and came across a
95 integra shell




picked it up clean title for 800 dollars

brought it back to my house and was saving up for a motor
wanted to be different, my buddy had an rt4wd vitara that just screamed,
cheap reliable and easy to built i decided to do one in an integra
(yea hate on it, heard it 10000000 times, dont care)

found a full y8 swap for 450 bucks,
tore it apart and took it to the machine shop
had aquired some 75.5 ycp pistons, a p28, arp head studs, acl race bearings, hasting rings and some golden eagle h beams,

dont have any pictures of those ^ i know i was slacking lol
but i have pictures of me assembling the motor

finished mines putting timing belt cover back on

had done a head light harness tuck in between waiting the month for the maching shop to get the boring and knothing done

prepped it with oil
first start fired right up!!!




lowered it on some skunk2 pro s coils i found at the junk yard!
score!!!




got it in and drove it n/a for about 10 months






yes it was dog **** slow, not as bad as youd thing though,
i was living on my own, paying for college on my own so my car got put on the back burner,
every now and then ibought things,
did a tan to black interior conversion, w/ gsr seats

ended up having a few extra bucks around and decided to buy a flip car for more car parts
got lucky and found a kid selling a hatch for 500 bucks, i had talked to him for a lil while but just wasnt any meat on the bone for me to make profit,
he ended u calling me back and saying it was now or never and he was getting kicked out of his house,
he took my 160 dollar low ball, i know im an a** hole




88 civic









it ended up running like ****, was an auto matic, trany clunked so i just wanted it gone, sold it 2 weeks later for 500 bucks

put the cash in saveings and just decided to wait till tax return
tax return came and i bought a really nice daily
1999 s10 grandpa owned, 88k miles
so now i could have some thing 100% reliable and my toys

i had always liked efs, posted an add in cl for a 4 dr looking for a clean sleeper to put my vitara in,

had some kid email me and call and text for a month about one he had sayign it was a good project it was a "race car" but had problems.
i just kept thingking it was another riced out bucket...
he called me one final time and said its going to the junk yard if you dont want it, i said alright send me picks what could hurt right...
mind you he wanted 300 bucks for it,,
he sent me these..

i knew it couldnt be true...


went and looked at it an hour later and it was what it was...
mind you i know hte car looks like a pos..
but look in the bumper

poped the hood and saw dun dun dunnnnn





turbo<br/>lol

haha i thought to my self no way.. ill flip this thing no problem, fix a few ods and ends.
test drove it and it spooled great and pulled pretty good,
it was all ebay, except for the blitz bov,
but came back and gave him 300 bucks and was on my way..
(yes i did get title)( yes it waas in his name) not stolen

lets just say i live on the out skirts of a larger town with tons of farming and back roads







ahah

found out it had a salvaged title


anyways back to it posted it up a week later for trade offer or 1500 bucks
(yay more honda parts)

ended up trading it for an integra (rebuilt title)
was a 95 ls
h and r lowering springs,
brand new falken tires,
flow master exhaaust (way to freakin loud)
vision wheels
double din
header











i was feeling good about all this,
i had a daily, and two integras

in the mean time my buddy had a friend with a really clean 99 ex that had spun a rod bearing, and was for sale, bought it for 800 bucks

so there it was i was gonna pull my vitara and put it in there
ended up pulling the ls in the rebuilt title car and putting it in the black clean title car,

sell the wite car has a bare shell after i got all the goodies off of it,
mind it i was only in the white integra 300 dollars and a tank of gas




















got the motor on the ej8 pulled,
sold it, started pulling the vitara to put on an engine stand till the time came to put it in the ej8

finished it up that night nextv day drove it around


posted the white car up after taking all the goods out sold it for 500 bucks







traded the door panels for a d16 skunk 2 intake manifold for the vitara motor








took a brake for a month got busy with work
moved into my own house

2 weeks later sold the black integra





last wash





right before i sold her

so after all that i had made like around a 2000 dollar profit on what i was in everything,
sold off all thie things i didnt need on the civic so i was pretty much in that 400 bucks
so i started spoiling it

bought a skunk 2 throttle body
tial wastegate
log manifold
hx35 turbo
planning on shooting for 325 hp
maybe more?












so this is where am at today, decided enough enough, im gonna start showing my build process on my vitara ek
so expect updates of my build process shortly to complete it





bought em1 seats for it


hope i didnt bore all of you guys but i just wanted to show you and doccument the journey to saving up process to complete this build, it has been a slow one, i am ready FOR BOOST!!

the holset isnt the greatest choice if 325 is all your after.
