Hey guys wassup.. ive got a 91 crx dx and ever since ive had it the heater had never worked... if the car is warm and i crank up the heater to 4 only cold air comes out -_- is that my heater core? what could it be? any ideas?

 

Water valve maybe? Heater control cable maybe?

check to see if the hoses are going the heater core and back. sometimes people by pass the heater core because it gets cracked or leaks and smells like mildew in the car. so they loop the line that goes to the heater core back into the engine again.

 

ya check the hoses for clogs or bypassed and then i would say that it probably is your heater core. i just changed mine and its not fun at all the first time you do it but after that it seems easy. taking out the dash is the hardest part. i have all the instructions on where the bolts are and stuff if you want em. i bought my heater core for about 75 bux from autozone.

 

I don't know if this is even close but. Maybe it's your Climate Control... I think it has a cable running to a door that allows air to pass through the Heater Core and allows the rest of the air to pass freely without going through the Heater Core..

 

u mean the little turn **** that lets me choose cold and hot? and 1234 level of pressure? another person told me same thing hehe
