My 91 Si has a squeaking sound coming from the driver side tire when the car is in motion. Once the car comes to a full stop the noise goes away. Doesn't sound like a wheel bearing but I am at lost with this one. I have checked to see if anything is loose and have tried shaking the tire when the car is on jackstands to determine if the wheel bearing is bad. This started happening after I replaced the driver side axle along with water pump and timing belt. The axle is new from a local auto parts store. Any help or ideas would be great. It gets annoying.
squeeking sounds are balljoints badly in need of replacement.
tinny ringing sound is a hub ring thats loose and trapped between the knuckle and the outer CV joint, rattling around.

Jus take note that the dust cover behind the rotor, a big black thin circular piece of aluminum, could be partial scraping against your rotor somewhere. Could be because you grabbed it and pressed it onto it, or rubbed somewhere. Also check your brake pad and make sure they are good. There is a little thin piece of metal on the brake pad that serves as a indicator that scrapes against the rotor when the brakes need replacing

Thanks for the replies. After further diagnoses I narrowed the sound coming from the inside only. Doing some research and found out it was the stupid speedo cable. Pulled it out and cleaned it. Problem fixed.
