My check engine light is not coming on. I have checked the bulb in the back of the cluster and it's fine.

I know my check engine light is suppose to be on because when I go to plug up the code reader device, I get several codes as if my engine light were on.
Can anybody help me out ?

 

I'm assuming this is on a Pontiac Sunfire right?

...and also does the oil pressure warning light in the cluster work?

 

Oil pressure is the one next to the battery indicator, if yes, then yes, I haven't seen it come on, but the oil pressure light does come on when I turn the key once

 

I check the back of the cluster to make sure the bulb isn't blown out????

Ron wants to know how because just looking at the bulb us no good.

Swap a known good bulb in it's place and inspect the bulb socket for damage

I have replaced the bulb already, still not working
What else do you need to know?
The bulb isn't broke
I would know if it was broke
