Default Options for failing 93 MT dash cluster

The original cluster on my Accord is failing. The temperature gauge stopped working a few weeks ago. The Sending Unit is fine; it's definitely the electrical contact on the cluster board itself. I even smelled it when it fused, burned, shorted or whatever they do when they get old.

As of yesterday, the door ajar icon flashes on and off, as if all four doors are opening and closing. This deteriorating cluster was also the reason that brake lamp light used to come on all the time. That cluster bulb finally burned out because I never was able to fix the problem. Fortunately, the fuel gauge, speedo, tach etc. still work fine, but I suspect it won't be long before they join the club.

I don't want to end up driving without instrumentation, so I'm wondering what options I have now. I notice that MT clusters for my year are very scarce, but does anybody know of a trustworthy source I might try?

Can clusters be resoldered and restored or is that fantasy?

If you are good at soldering, and can locate the blown out resistor or capacitor you may be able to fix it.

Not hard to fix, problem is locating the problem.

Thanks..It's nice to know its a repair that can be made. I'm no solderer, but I know someone who is. I need to pull the cluster and have a look at it. When the temp gauge stopped working, the electronic burning smell was pretty strong so there might be visible damage to what needs fixing. I did see a few clusters on eBay that would fit mine, but there is no way to know if they are good buys.
