Icon3 CEL 15 & 3, please HT community help me- in dire need.

I have a 1994 honda accord LX sedan:
my problem, started about 2 weeks ago, driving down the freeway, car decides to cut off, dash is light up with its array of normal lights(when you first turn the key to II position), then takes a few cracks in to get it going again.

forward 2 weeks later, now i turn my car on leave it for 10 - 15 minutes, the car starts to do a werid 'putter/sputter' for example it wants to cut out but doesn't it starts doing a "putter" once ever 15 seconds after about 2 minutes it starts to pick up and "putter" more frequently.

what I've done, did some looking around;
bought a new main relay (x.x)" hoping it would fix the prob. nope
bought new valve cover gasket and spark plugs,
using a test light AND a screw driver tested to see spark, with both these test i test the spark plug wire ends, they sparked pretty good, a nice (orange/blue/white) spark zap, across the board,
tested the EXTERNAL ignition coil for spark same procedure as above very strong spark.
tested the Map sensor(with key at II pos) for voltage, probled the left(facing closet to firewall) to bat GRN, got a reading of 12v ; Probled the right(farthest away from firewall) got a 2.85V. did not have a air pump but used my mouth to blow saw a voltage increase i blew as hard as i could got as high as 3.3v

Im a broke college student so if ANY help that would be soooo great, i just bought a new ignition coil, and just bought a distributor hoping these i can return later they are being shipped to me..

side note, some mornings i can just get into the car and crank a few times and it fires up normally, but again after 10-15 minutes of idle it does the above,

my Notes:
i'm not sure if this is a problem with the ignition system, however i need someone to give me a descriptive test on how to test a dam external coil distributor, could it be something else? are there any other components that are intermittent that once warmed up would just cause a crank no start problem?

Code 3 is the map sensor not barometric pressure that's 13

Ya thats totally my bad. You can test the map sensor but unless the wiring is messed up you should just pull another from the junkyard.
