Default 94 Civic CX/D15B8/P05 ECU - Code 41

I replaced the ECU about 1 1/2 years ago with a p05 ecu. I have the d15b8 engine and its giving me this code. is there a resolution?

Default Re: Code 41 on a 1994 Civic CX

Not all CX's use a one wire O2 sensor. CA and federal emissions models are different. CA emissions models use a 4 wire (heated) O2 sensor, while federal (49 state) models use a one wire sensor.

If your ECU p/n is 37820-P05-L00, 37820-P05-L01, or 37820-P05-L02 then you have a CA emissions ECU that requires a 4 wire O2 sensor.

Post a picture of the label on your ECU and a video of the CEL blinking the code.

The P05 does not look for the O2 sensor heater element (code 41) because there isn't one.

EDIT: I was unaware that some D15B8 engines have a 4-wire sensor. Thanks.

OP - Ohm test the O2 sensor and test for voltage and ground on the two heater element wires.
