dynamo wrecked

Default dynamo wrecked

My dynamo is wrecked of my '89 cvic. Anyone know how to get that thing out of the engine bay? Its already disconected, only there isn't enough room to get it out. Suggestions????????

So your Alternator died and you need to get it out. There are 2 ways-from above or below. Either one works but is not as easy as it appears. The upper method means taking the master cylinder off of the booster and moving it over slightly without damaging the lines. The second method requires that you go under the car and take it out from there-after removing both of the alternator mounting brackets.

1- loosen intake manifold and move it sideways, then remove alt from above
2- remove brake master cylinder like someone else said( i dont recomend this)
3- remove axle from drivers side and take it from the bottom.... but u gotta add more oil to tranny afterwards...
too much work ifu dont know what u doing!

Well i will try to get it out near the air-intake. Can't you just strip it in peaces and then get it out in smaler parts?

I seem to remember taking off the support for my intake manifold and my oil filter and passing behind the engine to the passenger's side where it's nice and easy to remove.
