Default 1999 crv intermittent spark

My grandson recently bought a 99 crv. Started showing p0300, 0301, 0302, 0303, 0304 dtc's. Replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor since they all looked like they needed it. Ran fine that evening, but dtc' s came back. Next day it ran for 15 minutes and died. All plugs are sparking intermittently. Coil resistance is good (pri and sec), battery voltage to icm is12.4v, ign.coil to icm voltage is 12.4v. Car won't start now. Can anyone help?

It sounds like maybe you have a shop manual. My Haynes manual gives several tests and if these all check out, it says to replace the ignition control module ICM. A genuine Honda ICM is spendy, close to 200 dollars for the cheapest one online. Probably could get by with one from the parts stores.

I'm not saying for sure your ICM is bad, but is sure is likely. Kindly keep us posted.

Yeah, I was thinking Icm, but the shop manual has you run some tests and if you still have no spark replace it. The problem is I have intermittent spark. I'll probably replace it because I don't know what else to do right now.

Turns out to be the crankshaft position sensor would heat up and fail. Replaced the distributor and am back in business.
