Over the course of a month my car has developed a loud hissing/leak type of sound coming from near the fuel pressure regulator. It's a b18c btw. Anyways I checked the hoses and there doesn't seem to be any leaks. Bolts are tight. I hear these rarely go bad so it's a little weird. Thoughts?

I'd bet you have a vacuum line loose somewhere...

Pull the hose off and cover the hole with your finger. Takes only about 2 seconds where making this video and posting it was... more effort. Maybe take a video of that and post it back up, we'll take it from there.

 

Check the intake manifold for a vac leak. Or the back of the block. I doubt it has anything to do with the fpr.

 

Does the hissing stop when you blip the gas? If it were a vacuum leak blipping the throttle would change the sound. Could it be an alternator bearing?
