Tire size recommendations 205/50/15 or 225/45/15
Good morning all,
Its time for a new set of tires. I'm debating on what tire size to go, they will be going on a set of Kosei K1s 15x7 +38 offset.
I'm on stock struts and springs with camber kits all around, running -1 camber in the rear and -1.5 in the front. I just want to make sure I do not rub.
The car is some what of a daily driver, with some autocross. These wheels will primarily be for autocross.
Thanks

If you need tires now, it's an even easier decision... all 225/45 performance street tires are sold out for the season. I was told to look for new stock in maybe Feb/March.
That being said, for street tire I prefer a 205 for a 7" wheel (especially on a bigger/heavier car). The 225's work fine on an 8" wheel but, IMO, are too pinched on a 7" one.

I doubt they'd rub... I've got 15x8 ET40's on my car and both 225 and 205 fits. It's tight at the rear though even with the fenders rolled.
Thank for the assistance guys. Now next question is what tires. Currently I'm running khumho xs on some prelude 16" wheels. I'm switching to the kosei. I was looking at the Dunlop direzza zii at $105 a pop before shipping at a close out on tirerack, then there is nitto nt05 at $103 a pop with shipping at discounttiredirect and finally the falken 615k at $118 on discounttiredirect.
So I'm debating. Wondering if the nitto nt05 will give me same or better performance then my current khumho at a discounted price or should I go with the direzza zii? Thanks

Yeah, of the ones you listed, the Z2 will be the best of the bunch. If you want to spend more $$, look at the Z2 Star Spec...
