Took over 7 months to get after i ordered it but it finally came. Here are some pics of the install, I'm happy with the results. It took about 4 hours while taking my time (after the sunroof was already removed). i'll take some more pics after the silicone dries and i pull off the tape.
Looks good man! Please post more pictures without the tape. one word of possible advice, id take the tape off before the silicon dries or its not gonna come off clean. The way its smeared in the crack and on the tape, once dry i suspect will not be fun.
i used what ever silicon sealant that the kit came with. forgot the brand. the tape came off clean for the most part. there were some spot where i didn't smear the silicon flush with the tape, so i'll have to cut it with razor to make it clean.
i've seen similar silicon used on windshield and exposed to sunlight and UV didn't really do much to it.
Long story short,
got a 91 CRX for dirty cheap, chassis great, roof is not leaking…yet... because maybe car is at the garage?... but roof is freaking rusted away.
Making my own kit from Lexan.
In addition you can smear the "Polyurethane" (not Silicone... female blobs are boosted by it, not advisable to apply in a car unless you won't drive at the same time...)
where was I?
Ah yes, while is wet, no need to smear, just spread the Polyurethane with heavily soaped hands or use a flat plastic putty (again soaped) if you want it flush,
the windshield Polyurethane hardens faster on the shade and when humid (or at least the one I use)

Cheers A.
And now I'm bringing the thread back from the dead, mainly because I was thinking of doing something similar for the sunroof with Lexan... Did you ever finish yours? Care to share photos and more info? Would be great to hear about!
