Head unit will not accept security code
Son has 11 Civic, base model I guess. No nav, single CD player. Battery dies on him about a week ago.
He called dealer, gave them HU code, entered it - didn't work.
I rummaged through his glove box today and, actually, found factory bag with HU number AND security code.
Had that code entered 10 times. No go.
I mean - I ain't THAT dumb and it's not that complicated.
Now HU is sitting on 1 hr reset before I can re-enter the code.
Question is - is there some sort of a trick to this?
Delay between pressing clearly marked buttons? Or something else?

He he, got it fixed. Apparently, card included with the owner manual - is for a different HU or even vehicle. Went to Honda code retrieval site, pulled HU SN off display, obtained code - boom, done.
