I bought my honda back in April and at that time I didn't know that the Kenwood stereo had an anti-theft code that had to be entered to "unlock" it if the constant power was disconnected. I had to disconnect my battery for some work I was doing and now my head unit is asking for the code.
The previous owner doesn't have any info on the stereo. I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. It's a Kenwood KDC-322 I don't have the serial number handy, but I could try and get it.

it isnt necessary unless the previous owner put in the security code, which he did... hence... he should know the code he entered as the password...
Also, short of using the serial number and calling kenwood, you may need the little card that came with the new units, .... it is used in case of theft to replace the face plates, however I believe it is for the code as well.... good luck....

Thanks, I've already tried Kenwood to see if they could help but I haven't gotten any response. I think the receiver is toast.
there is a universal code for those,i belive it was 0000,then hold down the button with the little square marked next to it,sorry it has been a while,if not ,call kenwood customer support, you will probably have to send the unit to them.
