96 coup shudders
96 vtec auto, mode header and cold air intake. Problem cold left turn and heavy foot and slight up hill there is a shudder. Right turn and down hill no shudder. Both axles are replaced and the left is 6 to 9 months older. Good compression, good dist. cap and rotor, new plugs. As car is driven the shutter gets less and less but does not go away.
Not a sound and not rubbing. A shudder like a torque converter shudder at hiway speeds. On taking off from a start and turning left.
Maybe should be called a shutter and not a shudder.

There may be a bump waiting period but I need the car and am afraid to drive it. If it is transmission then it is on its way out.Thinking axle but suspect tranny.
Update. Weather good so changed the left axle. Binding under load and in a left turn causing wheel hop that felt like driving on a cobble stone road.

If the axle was binding to the point of causing wheel hop, and your car isn't lowered, then you got a REALLY shitty axle, and I'm surprised you didn't notice this until 2 and a half years later. Something just doesn't add up.
Not trying to troll Rocky Cat but not a Racist is right. Something in this story doesn't add up. Are you saying to old axle was a 2 1/2 year old rebuild? or the one you swapped in?
Don't you have a different problem now than when you started? I thought you had a shudder, now you have wheel hop? Please for all our sake please be more clear in future posts.

As I posted it felt like driving on a cobble stone road. That felt like a shudder to me and had I not watched the car turning in a circle(wife driving) I would still be looking. Don't see where I'm the bad guy here but if I said some to offend some one o'well. The faulty "rebuilt" axle was 2 1/2 years old and started just a few month ago. May have started longer ago but this old body didn't notice until a few months ago.
