b18a1 to b20b swap quick questions
Okay so I have a 91 ef hatch with a B18a1 swap(ys1 trans) my clutch decided to take a **** on me at the same time the b18 developed a rod knock, I found a good deal on a b20b (high compression jdm b20). To y understanding I can put my b18 intake manifold, fuel rail, distributor, and alternator onto the b20 so it's not obd2, also allowing me to run my ls ecu. it's the b20 with the knock sensor, so my question is do I need Any sensors or plugs or anything else to make it work or is it literally plug and play once I swap over my intake manifold and other head stuff and alternator? Other forums are making it sound almost too easy, just wanting to see how much work I have ahead of me.
Also will I need to get anything special to mate the b20 to my ys1? Special clutch or anything?
Thank you!!! 😊🔰

You'll also need to run the wiring for your fan switch from the back of the block location to the thermostat housing on the B20. You'll need a round two wire connector (you can rob one from your donor engine harness if it comes with one). The rest should plug and play once you swap over your items you listed above. You won't need to worry about the knock sensor. The clutch will work fine as you'll swap over your pressure plate, flywheel and disk.
