Default New (to me) 1992 civic SI - Many questions

Hi,
Finally joined after lurking and finding some answers, cross posting from member introduction forum.

Have a 1992 Honda Civic SI Captiva blue/black.
Original, fairly worn out, driven a long time. Lots of miles.

Needs some of the usual repairs, and mostly just want to keep it original.

Where do you get parts?
Online accessible parts catalog for these?

Needs:
-New hatch strut stays in the glass (stripped threads). (found OE on e-bay)
-New hatch struts (OE or just as good quality to last 10-15-20 years no BS?)
-Radiator that actually fits (recommendation of the various all aluminum ones like those sold on ebay that fit and last best). It had the radiator replaced. Radiator is a little too tall (was put in on the road in the middle of nowhere when the original let go on a trip). Quality all metal, mutli-row replacements available?
-Bumpers are cracked from being whacked around a little. Source for good used or new genuine or similar?
-Fresh genuine wheel covers or painted steelies?
-Windshield. Quality piece of glass or OE available?
-Lower clips and proper materials to reseal removable plastic cowling (leaks around the heater fan). Links for threads and parts? Links for threads for proper resealing of this part no BS?
-A/C installed (never had air, but we'd like it). Probably find a '94-'95 donor so you can actually legally get various refrigerants for it.
-Moonroof slides too far forward and leaves a gap at the back where it leaks (fix the stops..the seal is nice, but the glass is a little cracked and the little rubber stops at the front are all compressed)...find a panel and replace the stops somehow so it seals properly?

-Engine is using some oil (quart every 1500ish?)l, transmission shifts well, but input shaft bearing is going and the clutch chatters. Trans makes a little noise in neutral. Doesn't leak. Has developed a little miss at idle even though plugs are new and cap and rotor are new OE genuine. Plug wires are suspect Altrom things. Valve adjustment? Vac leak? Losing a little compression on one hole? Will verify. Where to get ideally an excellent health used engine (D16Z6 stocker)? Where to get a fresh set of bearings and such for the trans in decent quality? Threads on the job? Mostly interested in longevity over raw strength.

Is it still possible to get super low mile stock engines from japan with 40-50K miles or a front cut of a car?

It's just a single cam D16Z6, no plans to change it, trusted source for super low mile good condition used ones?
Or cost to correctly rebuild?

Don't want to hack it up or change it radically.
Would install a B18C and part out or buy DelSol-VTEC parts, but want to keep inexpensive and have it work as a pleasant DD. Doesn't really need to go faster.

Just address some cabin water leaks, rattles, creature comforts and fix it back up again and leave it alone really. Would like to have some Del Sol leather heated seats or something that bolts in and is comfortable and re-do the rear to match.

Can some links be provided to get me reading given my goals and some help?
I've mostly repaired Eurotrash cars full time.
Hondas are fairly new. Japanese cars are a little different...fewer electrical problems, scary looking under the hood but somehow works mostly reliably. Thin sheetmetal and lack of rustproofing are my biggest complaints, and I dislike sunroofs, which I gather SI and EX always have. Most jobs are stupid easy compared to Land Rovers and Audis and other miserable Eurotrash cars.

I don't know my search terms that well, Honda cars are fairly new over cycles. Plan to spend some time reading here. Have some of the factory special tools and the Honda shop manual for it. Would love to be able to access dealer parts diagrams and know good ways to find the parts. Don't have time to read this huge forum every waking hour day and night, but want to learn where to source parts, what parts are good quality, and read some threads to common jobs on these.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, however as Ron said: please browse the FAQs. If you have specific questions remaining after you have done your research, post them up.

^Freebie: Add the word Honda, EG or Civic to any of the bolded words or terms in Google and you will find more than half your answers.

You had stated that you aren't good at search terms and I just want to highlight the fact that your post contains quite a few search terms. Keep trying different combos of words and phrases until you find what you're looking for. Google 101.

We are pretty dead set on keeping it. She's had it since 1995ish, so about 20 years!

I will read for a while and do the fun part of fixing a car...buying the parts and parts cars.

I just want to fix it back up, bought a newer car to drive in the mean time. Will probably buy an EX to donate a sunroof, A/C, and trans/trans parts, and maybe electric windows if I can find one for parts and/or priced right to take the parts from and swap some back on. Are the electric windows and Del Sol heated seats pretty reliable?

No modifications planned, just needed repairs to make it a nice car again.

No del Sol that I know of in North America came with heated seats. You can add your own though, the wiring isn't that bad. Check my sig for the DIY walkthrough.
