As long as the factory Catalytic Converter and O2 sensors are in place you will pass. The intake side won't change anything.

You won't pass smog in CA with either of those intakes, as they are not smog legal. Don't listen to the idiot that responded.

I'm an OEM sort of guy, so I would say 'yes.' You could probably find a used one on eBay/Craigslist and then throw a K&N filter in there and call it a day. Contrary to what many people say, you won't get much power with just an intake. In fact, most of the time you actually lose power. The best thing about an aftermarket is just the sound it makes.

EDIT - If you can't find a used OEM intake or want to go aftermarket, make sure the aftermarket intake is "CARB Legal." If it has a CARB Legal certification, it will very likely pass smog.

I keep forgetting about the CARB rules...I apologize for not being more broad minded. I live in Canada where as long as the exhaust emissions controls are maintained, emissions are within specs...

It has nothing to do with bad words but the tone of your message... why call someone an idiot when they made a mistake for?

Also why are you so sensitive about it for? Is it cause I was pointing out you were as much of idiot too???

I know I missed it. Because it's nowhere to be found.

In the future guys, call the nearest smog or ref station and get the information straight from the horses mouth.
