Anyone know of a source for windshield molding clips? I've been bouncing around the internet and am unable to find the right ones.

Mine says that they are a discontinued item. I've called as far away as Georgia hoping to find some. No luck so far. My windshield is broken. I have a new one and a new seal. I just can't find the clips. I can make some if I could get my hands on a set. If your dealership has them please give me their #. I'm desperate.

Apparently the title doesn't show in the thread. Its a 1991 Civic hatchback.

 

Part number 73127-SH3-013. Every time I find them the website says they're discontinued.

 

Ya, me too. I'm going to hit some junkyards to see if I can some unbroken ones there.

 

I found one in a junkyard. I took all position/size measurements with a digital caliper. I'm thinking about making new ones out of aluminum so they are re-usable. Anyone see problems with this?

 

Aren't these just there for to hold the windshield up while the urethane adhesive dries?

 

Yes. When the old windshield is removed, it breaks the plastic clips.

 

youll find something like that sourced in the aftermarket. Any auto glass shop have resources to find these parts.

 

Actually, they dont. Feel free to call everyone you know with the part number I listed. Let me know if you find some.

 

I am willing to be you dont need that SPECIFIC part number since any auto glass shop can still replace Honda windshields. If that part of a part that could do its job was needed and did not exist then you would see a lot of Hondas being junked due to no windshield.

 

I asked 3 glass shops and no-one is willing to put the glass in without them. I even asked a wrecking yard that installs windshields. No go.
