00 civic si b16a - wont rev past 3k RPM until warm
I have a 00 civic si with a b16a.
My mods are skunk 2 1st gen intake manifold, chipped ecu and intake.
Im having problem with my motor everytime after i turned the motor down and crank it up again. Everytime when i crank it up again after shutting it down, when i rev my motor and it wont pass 3k RPM. It will always go down. For myself to avoid this, i have to wait awhile for it to pass 3k RPM normally.
When it doesn't settle down and i drive, it will lag. For example, when im accelerating, its fine but when i slowly let down gas, it will bogged, lagged, or lets says motor will jump.
note: it already happened before when i put a new ecu. Maybe tomorrow ill switch back to stock and see any changes.

Yea, do what you said in your note. Switch it with the original ecu and see what changes. I bet the lurching will go away and the lag. What ecu/map are you running?
You can't expect a Ecu for a single cam to work on your dohc, is the chip for a obd2 b16? Throwing cels? Switch it for the stock b16 one. Those aren't even enough mods to even get a noticeable gain with a chip lol.
I took it to the shop and they said its Bc of the Ecu. Bad chipping I guess. They said one part of the chip is chipped and can't be removed.
So I put back on the stock and it's OK now. But time to time it still does it a little.
