Spoon Integra Type R at AJR
For those of you who haven't been following the Nov. 16 Pacific-Northwest HT meet thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=316398, this is the special 'something' we wanted to share with Type R and Honda enthusiasts.
We are quite excited to have this special race car and hope you guys will share that excitement...
This is a real Spoon SuperTaikyu N+ Integra Type R race car. There is a lot of Type R history and tradition in this car... it is the most recognizable symbol of the DC2R's racing pedigree and success in Japan...
Here is a picture of Spoon's N+ DC2R as it appeared during the 1999 Tokachi 24Hour endurance race. After the 1999 SuperTaikyu season, Spoon retired its DC2R from SuperTaikyu in order to race the new S2000 and because the DC2Rs were becoming obsolete, falling behind the Toyota Altezzas. After it was withdrawn from SuperTaikyu, the car was raced in other events such as the Integra One Make series. The car has changed a bit, most noticeably the C-West kit. Traditionally, Spoon's race ITRs carried the number 24, but in recognition of the Spoon S2000's participation and win at the Vancouver Indy, this car will carry the number 96

i get so excited seeing type R's and other honda's that actually get down and dirty on tracks. just another reason why motorsports will always shine over showing off your cwesting kit at import show off.
spoon + abused type R's + racing legends + aj racing =

Alan - you owe me a new pair of underwear. You should post warnings before posting that kind of stuff. You know what it does to me!
I expect quick delivery of a new pair of boxers.
