Default Civic EG smartphone location

Hi all

I have a Civic EG hatch as my daily and I often use my iPhone to warn me of speed cameras. But I don't have a good place to put it. Right now its in the tray by the shifter. Its not very convinient to look down all the time. I don't want to put it anywhere where its blocking the windshield.

I want to know what you guys do?

I use mine for bluetooth music and phone and just sit the ****** on the passenger seat. It does occasionally fly into the passenger door but whatever. I've also been known to sit it at an angle in the inside drivers door handle.

Also, how the **** have you never heard of a phone holder? They're literally ALL OVER THE ******* PLACE. Walk into your local electronics or phone store, and buy one. Stick it on your window. Done.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I dont like to put it on the windshield because it blocks my view. Maybe I will try the one which attach to the heater. Thats a good location in a Civic EG.

Its not that I drive like a maniac. I'm very concerned for others saftety. It just happens than I often drive too fast. I think its dangerous to drive too slow.

I agree! It is dangerous to drive slow, read the speed limit, because people often drive dangerously too fast!!

What app are you using that actually makes a difference?

And really, any holder is simple.

Its a local app TrafikAlarm. Its community based. So people can mark if they see police car or speed cameras. Also it warns about roadwork and stuff. Yes, it makes a difference.

I mean if the speed limit is 50 km/h and everybody is driving 60 km/h, then I think its dangerous to drive 50 km/h.

You've got to be kidding. No one puts there phone in front of there face while driving. its either to the side or on a phone holder in the vent. Either that you must have a 10 inch phone thats the size of a tablet, which again does not belong dead center of your vision while driving. Unless you're trying to use the camera on the back of the tablet to view the roads, which is even more stupid.
