if you like the canister style muffler (racing medallion style), i'd say you should go custom exhaust. just buy a muffler you like, and bring it to the muffler shop and have them do it how you like. i'd recommend that you get a resonator put in as well, that will mellow out the tone, and quiet it down, somewhat. its going to be pretty loud regardless, as those mufflers don't really do much muffling.... lots of people in this forum have custom exhaust set ups, try doing a search to find out the specifics people have done.

I have a 2.25 inch piping with Flowmaster 60 Series rear section off my car. It will be available in a few days. If you want, I will sell it to you for cheap. I just want it out of here.

ok so what you guys are telling me is that i can just buy a canister (muffler tip) and just upgrade the piping size and it will work like if it was a full exhuast?

it will work more or less as well as a bolt on cat back exhaust... the goal is to reduce backpressue, but maintain exhaust velocity. so larger diameter piping will help, but you don't want to go too big. 2 1/4" diameter is about right for a typical four cylinder. one thing about the custom exhaust vs. bolt on is that you won't get mandrel bent piping (constant diameter through bends). while that is nice, in my opinion it is not that critical. custom exhausts work great.
