you need to use the 88-91 manual transmission mounts and the driver's side mount from 88-91 bolted onto the B7 block

so i figured i would make a little thread about my ef. its a 90 Si bought the shell for $250 bucks slammed on Ebay coilovers, and some junk flat tires. i have had alot of hondas just never really got to build one the way i wanted so i finally have a little bit of money and daily driver so i figured what the hell!! the plan for the car is a minnime swap D15b7 bottom with a Z6 head, mated to a L-3 Si tranny that is freshly rebuilt. my plan is to get the car running N/A, and then hopefully spring time turbo the car. i am looking at a 9-3 Saab turbo (buddy has 5 of them and i get one for free). get new suspension and get the car painted and some new front seats. also picke up a set of LS meshies for a 100 bucks. first thing i did was started to do the wire tuck and clean up the engine bay of all the clutter and leave the necessities, way more of a pain in *** than i thought lol, but now its done i am glad i did. next thing i wanted to do was get the engine bay painted before the motor went in. i also did the GSR center coonsol conversion.. hopefully get some more stuff done this week i work 60hr weeks so time is limited.. hope you guys enjoy!!!!!

Engine bay after Clear Coat

Spare tranny i picked up just in case lol

Nice. Trips me out because what your doing is exactly what I'm doing, I have a d15b non vtec which is a b7. I'm going to put a z6 head on it and put it in my EF sedan, also changing the rack and pinion, changed UCA and waiting on my lower ball joints.
Also, there's a guy in these forums that's putting in a zc in his rt wagon, which is also what I planned on doing after I finish my sedan. Trippy Lol.

Depends on what ECU you're and using (or more directly how much work you want to do) but generally no you don't need that harness. What you should use is your existing harness with the VTEC wiring/plug(s) stripped from that Z6 harness you have and add it where needed.
