Blinking Oil Light and Really Low Idle
Hey, lastnight I got myself a boosted 4 door ek. It has a b18b it idles around 400 rpm or so and it sounds like it wants to stall. Than when the car warms up and its idling low the oil light will flash when im at a stop light or something. Any ideas? Thanks

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
Your low idle could be causing the low oil pressure. Or the low oil pressure could be causing the low idle.
Probably the former.
Are you sure its 400RPM? The first line on the tach after the 0 is disproportionate to the rest of the tach...and it shows 500RPM.
You should have the car inspected or do an oil pressure reading with a gauge.
I'll assume you already checked oil level....but maybe I shouldn't.
Probably the former.

and do NOT drive the car until you get this solved. Oil pressure low enough to trip the light can and will spin bearings.
Is the CEL on? Does it work? What ECU is running the car? After you clean and reinstall the IACV, follow the FSM procedure to re-learn idle.

Ended up with a rod knock. Im suspecting it was just doing this because it was about to go ?
