Icon2 Popping and creaking noise in front driver side wheel area

Hi, My name is Darryl and I own a 1998 Honda Accord. I'm not too familiar with cars and recently my car has started making this popping and creaking noise from the front driver side wheel area.

It happens when I'm on any kind of bumpy road or if I accelerate at a higher than slower speed. I was told by some friends that play with their cars casually that it may be a ball joint or struts. However I'm not convinced and this is the only place I can think of that would know better.

What can cause the problem? I don't speed or mistreat my car. However I assume from normal wear and tear something in the suspension has gone wrong. It makes a loud popping noise whenever I hit any kind of bump, even minimal bumps on perfectly fine roads. If any of you enthusiasts that know of this problem can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My first guess would he sway link bushings. Second would be lower control arm bushings.
