Default clicking while braking coming from the rear

Hi there

Just noticed this the other day. When braking I noticed a clicking coming from the rear. It sounds as if something is making contact as the brakes are depressed. Had the front and rear brakes done last year, new drums and rotors in the front. Anyone know what this could be?

Thanks

Did you replace your hardware when you did your brake job? If you didn't, you did it wrong. Sounds like something came loose and is getting thrown around. Buy a hardware kit for both sides, remove, install.

Brake noise in the rear often also may be due to inadequate lubrication of contact points of the drum brakes. Remove the drum brakes and lubricate as shown in the service manual.

Honda recommends two different types of greases (see diagram), but I found that Honda's high temp urea grease works fine as well.

Have you replaced rear drum brakes? Installation tip: Pre-assemble shoes as shown in right side diagram without the self-adjuster spring and lower return spring.

lubed the brakes, still getting that clicking sound when braking... it doesnt make a sound when i hammer on the brakes nor when i gently touch them. The sound from the rear comes when I press firmly when coming to a complete stop. It sounds almost as if something is getting dragged along and clicks with every rotation of the wheel...
