Default b18c1 noises

this video is of my engine warm after getting back from class. The noise is freaking me out. I don't think it's rod knock as that should be more audible when i let off the gas rather than when i hold on it. Let me know what you think. This has me stumped.

Sounds like the transmission shaft bearings are loose, and the bearings are grinding on the races. When did this noise start, and when were the conditions when you noticed it.

The hollow sound is iconic to the transmission or clutch. You might consider using a stethoscope to help pinpoint the general area of the noise.

I can't say for certain when it started, though I first noticed it after I drove the car real hard. I had just finished a tune-up and test drove it to the gas station. After reaching operating temp I got on it real hard shifting somewhere in the 7k rpm range. Shifted hard first to second, then second to third and the car cut out. Had to have it towed. Took the battery out to charge since I spent 20 minutes cranking the car while waiting for the tow. Car started right up after charging battery but have noticed the sound since.

Just to be absolutely certain, push the clutch completely down. If the noise goes away the issue is the tranny. If the noise stays the issue is not the tranny.
