Default rebuilt d16y7 smoking issue please help me out

I have a rebuilt d16y7 that is smokes after warm up. The smoke color is white out of the exhaust. It has king rod bearings, king main bearings, king thrust washers, new OEM pistons, hastings piston rings, new OEM oil pump and new OEM water pump, new OEM timing belt. The head was not rebuilt all I did was get it milled for a clean mate surface, it also has ARPhead studs and a new oem Honda 3 layer mls hg, it also has a zerg thermal intake manifold gasket. Now I'm on eBay and I'm going to order new rings but I'd like some opinions first for some reason I don't feel its valve seals so I'd really appreciate the input so I can get this car done already its upsetting enough all the work I put into it for this outcome

Update, so after trying to see exactly what's going on I drove it around and it seems that no smoke comes out only when I'm at a stop and I accelerate it shoots a cloud but goes back to normal and at idle it doesn't smoke at all. It stopped the excessive smoking after I filled up the anti freeze

You are looking for similar high numbers across all cylinders.

How many miles on the head? Does the smoke smell sweet or does it smell like burnt oil?

if the compression test is good try also a coolant system pressure test. the testers aren't too expensive from places like harbor freight and are easy to use. alternately you could have a nearby shop do the test for you for a modest fee.

I don't have first hand experience with the thermal intake gaskets but that is something that has changed that, should it leak between the #4 intake port and coolant passage it would draw coolant into the #4 cylinder. try swapping a normal gasket with some copper gasket spray or similar and see if the results are favorable.

that brings to mind something else you could check- spark plugs. it may or may not have enough run time, but check them anyway to see if one cylinder or another is different, smells like coolant or whatever else.

The head has 166k and it really doesnt smell like oil definitely sweet and my head gasket is brand new should I tourqe my head 10 more pounds? Arp says 60lbs but alot of people on various forums go as much as 80lbs my car doesnt over heat at all either stays way below the emblem in the gauge. Another issue im having is the car is so dam slow! I would think it should have a decent pull due the fact I have a stage 3 clutch but it feels like something is holding it back. Could it be the auto ecu?
Edit: as far as no power I have re timed the car and its on correct timing.

Im sorry, I just had to point this out.

A clutch has nothing to do with your car being fast or slow. I can have a stage over9000 clutch and a stock d series is still gonna drive like a stock dseries.

Did you by anny chance accidentally mistake a coolant hose for a vacuum hose? Ive seen It done before

you have 166k mile on the head and you didnt do nothing about it? Do you think the head doesn't get worn out? I did the opposite of what you did. I rebuild my head myself and left the bottom end alone. I did a leak down test that gave me a probable cause to remove the head and i finally able to narrow it down even further by removing the head and spraying brake cleaner into the cylinder chambers and into the head intake and exhaust chambers. the bottom end held in the brake cleaner just fine it was my head that was leaking bc.

here is my thread maybe you can learn something from it if not pm me.

anybody every had an ebay headgasket fail on them? - D-series.org

among other things you would want to do to check to see if your bearing clearances are on point is install an oil pressure gauge and drive it around for 20 mins or so to see if your oil pressure drops below specs. if it does then you KNOW you have a bottom end issue. it wont tell you if you have an issue with the rings thats where the leak down test comes in.
