Default Lasts touch ups!

swapping to rear discs.
all civic's and del sol's were imported with rear drums to venezuela so this mod is rare here, also when we were installing them we had the left trailing arm almost out but the bolting hole for the trailing arms bushing was broke/non'existent since who knows when! but the soldering guy in the same shop one who withhold my baby for years had some impressive skills and rebuilt it just like new...

taking its first full engine bath with soap and graphite since 2008! also full oil service.

replaced fuel filter and this is how it looks now after being thoroughly cleaned with engine cleaner, carb cleaner, kerosene and armor all-like silicone protectant..

Default i still got some problems to fix... :S

troubles i need help with:

1st headlights low beam is nowhere to be found, i got 4 wires loose and only one of them gives me power for high beams :S

https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...lease-2740660/
seems to be a ground problem??? i checked G01 and G02 aswell as G101 G201 and G301 they seem to be all good

2nd i got a problem with ECT/FITV/IACV/Thermostat/Fuel Pressure Regulator and i dont know what else i have to check... the engine starts fine when cold but after a while it sttuters and plain and simple fights to stay on but sometimes it loses and dies... it happened to me twice while driving in N but after i changed the fuel filter it happened while warming up... FITV and IACV needs cleaning but im not sure...

3rd i got some kind of JDM/EDM or whatever plugs for fogs and turn signals are the rarest but i found just 1 picture that showed me how to tell wich was for signals or fogs... i dont know how to wire them and it seems confusing from the pics i got...

04321-SM4-309

04321-SR3-308 *** 04320-SP0-E00

really confusing stuff

j

4rd and most important i got CODE 10 for the transtop roof (alternator? wtf! no cel code for it)... i dont know where to begin since all the threads i found on delsolowneruk ended without solving the problem...

so i still cant say its fully restored and would really appreciate any help i can get...

you could check the depression hoses on the manifold.
does it happen when you stop accelerating or at idle?

When was the last time you've done a tune up on your ignition system?

This was posted by me in a different thread but may help you anyway, a couple of links that contain Del Sol specific information, including the transtop service/repair. I personally have little experience with the del sols, aside from replacing my brothers passenger airbag and performing a tuneup on his Sol VTEC. good luck.
First link contains EDM fsm sections and 2nd link seems to be a random mashup picked from forums.

thanks for helping...

@thor33620 actually i found out in the crx 92 workshop manual that this is a model KY UKDM Del Sol wich its, according to honda, an "exception model" ... about my problems i still have to clean the FITV and IACV (my throttle body was left unprotected while it was in the shop, around 3 years). i have confirmed it doesnt happen when its cold, it happens rarely but only when idling and has sometime running, it seems to get choked and my father told me it smells a bit like gasoline... i can hear a hissing sound after i shut him off(dont know about that) and i can see a crack on the isulation layer of a hose conecting to the thersmostat housing also the intake manifold has some really poor attempt of a gasket, how hard could it be to replace it?

also my ECT plug broke(the one on the right, right??) and i hacked one with really small terminals and some shrinking tube, maybe is not working because it need the plugs isolation?

what do those connectors do? mine are barely hangin on

https://honda-tech.com/honda-crx-ef-...-crap-3221486/

could this thread be helpful? he tracked the problem down to a "weakening headgasket"

https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...-out-3164132/?

https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...-load-3227664/

https://honda-tech.com/honda-crx-ef-...niter-2581960/

this is interesting...

@tony_2018
i havent done an ignition timing ever and i got him wrecked 6 years ago, it has been "functional" since january with 200miles or less on him since then i read that someone replaced its coil igniter or distributor and all dissapeared, maybe i got my timing off, i should check, but is it common that it gets thrown after a while?

@MisereNoire
thanks for the info i had downloaded everything in the first link and merged in the engine part from the 89 crx to match my del sol, nice random mashup, i got some info i pulled from forums too... i dont know if i can post them here? they're pdfs
