How can I make steelies look nice ?
Don't bash me or knock the idea. I'm trying to figure out a way to make my steelies look decent because I don't want to put my new rims on being that it's going to snow soon. THIS IS JUST FOR THE WINTER. Just got a fresh paint job and the last thing I want is my wheels ******* the setup up. Helppp please
You're going to get a lot of hate on here for posting this. My answer is to throw some ex hubcaps on them and call it a day. Unless they are 13" then just leave them. Different colors and such just make it look cheap and tacky.

I don't know why steelies always get bashed, of course I have a vintage Honda so they look better, argent silver paint , beauty rings and center caps

I got mine from a Geo prism, they look exactly like early Honda steelies, not the round holes ones, but the ones with the D shaped holes, the round hole ones are ugly as ****
Leaving them alone for the Winter wouldn't be the worst idea, since they are... just for the Winter. The snow and road debris will do a good enough job making your car look like doo-doo, as it is.
Paint them white and call them high offset Diamond Racing wheels. You should be able to resell them after the winter for like $400. At least then you'll feel it was worth making them 'nice'.
True story:
Back in 2002 I had a friend experimenting with powdercoating, so he powdercoated my steelies white with a red lip. I ran em on my car for a year and then some guy in a parking lot offered to buy em off me, so I got rid of em.

I think for them to look right, they need to be on the correct car, early Hondas, well most early Japanese cars look right with them, but they dont look right on a later model car
I mean I have a 91 crx and the steelies honestly don't look bad. They were already white and some overspray got on them and now they just look shitty and it's messing the whole car's look up.
"Nice" is based on perspective. Personally I like my steel wheels black clean and without hubcaps. If you cant have what you want just make sure what you have is well taken care of (again, clean)

argent silver is right for the 80's and early 90's, get some center H caps, they look a lot better with them. And beauty rings, they can be hard to find for these offsets but they are out there, I have a set of stainless ones, steelies need beauty rings or they look too plain. Thats the correct look for these cars
