Car wont start
My 1991 honda civic 4 door wont start.
It is backfiring throught the intake and the exhaust. It sounds like it is going to start but it backfires and stumbles. Does anyone know what it is?

i doubt it let us know a detaileed dexcription of the problem and we can then help you.
Did this just happen overnight?
make sure every vacum lign, electrical connector is pluged in.
spark plug firing order right?
fuel pump priming
my guess is your plug wires are mixed up

Agreed. First tell us the history/setup of the car! But I would think that the timing is off, when my timing belt slipped on my A6 motor and it died - every time I tried to start it, it would backfire quite a bit (not way loud tho).

The screw on the rotor came loose and fell off. The rotor wasnt spinning so there wasnt any spark. I put in the screw and tightened it up really good and the car started right up. I replaced the whole distributor about 3 months ago, and I guess I didn't tighten the screw enough.
