exhaust sizing question.
I want to get a DC JDM 4-1 for my b16. Now, because it has a 2.5" collector, should i run 2.5" exhaust all the way? I was going to get a 5zigen axle back and custom piping the rest of the way but the 5zigen is only 2.25" piping. will i loose power/tq?
loose all low end tourque gain high end power. the b16 has no tourque so go for it. itll be better for future mods like SC or turbo or N20 etc.
wont loose much tourque if ya keep your cat

I will take the opposite stance here... 2.5 inch mandrel bent is much too large for a mild B16A. It is mild, right? Sport Compact Car magazine states that even 2" mandrel bent is fine for anything under 2.0 litres (N/A). I would go 2.25 inch though. Bottom line: Unles you're getting a turbo, 2.5 inch is too big. Too small for a turbo too. 3" for turbo is ideal!

I still say 2.25 inch MANDREL bent is fine for that, as long as you have a good free flowing muffler Think about it. 5.0 mustangs usually go 2.25 inch for each bank of cylinders, and that's plenty for them. Anyone else??
