No o2 sensors cause loss in power?
Hey all so I couldn't find any direct threads answering this question through my searches so hopefully someone has the answer.
My 99 EJ1 has a 1st gen jdm B16A thats using a heavily chopped harness to run the obd2 injectors an what not while being run by a P2T ecu. So first off there have always been CEL lights on and always will be while that ECU runs the motor due to lack off all the obd2 sensors that usually come on an b16a2/3 I know that and have gotten use to it.
Q.1
I noticed that both o2 sensors are disconnected and probably bad anyways but would that cause any loss in power when under WOT?
I'm not too concerned since I will be rebuilding and boosting the motor in the spring but cant help but feel it might not be up to its fullest potential with those missing.
Q.2
I have a chipped P28 ATM that has a basic tune I can throw on if I grab a jumper harness which I figure could alleviate the issue...maybe?

I can't help with q2, however for q1 the ecu ignores o2 sensor inputs during wot since the ecu goes into open loop, same as when the engine is cold. As for other throttle points, you could notice a loss in performance as the ecu is relying on other sensors to pick the best fuel map it knows for the information it's receiving so the result could be a rich or lean mixture depending on modifications done to the engine.
yeah thats kind of what I thought that it was closed loop under WOT oh well my buddys sohc vtec ef puttin a whoopin on this was probably more due too weight then i gave credit for
