V-bands and engine movement?

I just wanted to ask in here since you guys are the ones who actually make the parts.How do V-bands hold up to engine movement?I know most of the setups I have seen the intercooler is usually bolted down making it stationary while the engine moves and I know alot of people use solid mounts which would probably take care of 90-95 percent of the movement?
A v-band is a rigid connection. For all intents and purposes, it can just be assumed there is no coupler where a v-band connection is. You still need to have flex somewhere in the system - even with solid motor mounts. I use either silicone or a Pegasus clamp on one end and a v-band on the other.

I agree but when you start needed 5 clamps it really isnt cost effective for a guy like me.I spoke to someone on here and he also agreed that there needs to be a flexible joint in the system and that was my reasoning behind this thread.Thanks alot guys
I used 1 v-band at the discharge of the turbo, and a bracket off of the discharge pipe to the motor, making that pipe move with the motor, as my setup is with delrin mounts, then the pipe going from the discharge pipe to the IC is a silicone coupler

Yeah I was figuring most of you guys were going to be running solid mounts.I decided to just keep the hump hoses until I start having issues with them and then I guess 3-400 bucks in vanjens would be the best choice.
