Default types of gauge clusters for 88-89, not jdm

i got my valvetrain done on my b16 this summer and now im kinda looking at getting a tach but i really dont like the cheese of a 5" tach kinda like the look of 18" wheels if you ask me, as compared to my 15" gsr 5s

but wanting to know what people have had success with on putting usdm or even jdm gauge clusters. i really like the looks of the gsr or itr ctr or any others i understand wiring will be an issue and stuff as well as the vss, but im looking for fitment problems.

if someone has some links or pics, i would be very appreciative. ive done a good amount of searches and cant find what im looking for.

much thanks
derek

I just put an GSR Cluster in my 88 Hatchback and wiring was not too complicated at all. I still haven't forked out the money for the VSS but I'm sure it can't be that hard. Anything is possible. If simplicity is what you are looking for than an Si cluster or a SiR cluster would be ideal. But even with these there are wiring changes required, but you only have to switch like two wires.
