Now I know nobody likes the black painted ones, but I'm looking for reviews on the ceramic coated version.. Not the he said she said crap, but people who have used or who r using the ceramic pacesetter header on their efs.

 

Those have been around a long time and I don't think I have heard anyone using them.

Is it a budget price? What engine?

 

Sohc zc. I figured that since they have been around so long that they've gotta be decent.

 

probably no better than an ebay DC replica.
I know one complaint of them has always been the metal being too thin for long lasting durability, which means easier cracking, and if it does rust it rusts through fast. If it is ceramic on the inside as well as out it might do ok, but i jsut dont think they offer anything better than you can get on ebay for $50 shipped.

theyre all pretty much the same.

and they all are MUCH better than stock. in my experience, header is the biggest power gain, because the stock manifold is just the worst choker.

if youre hunting for every little bit of horsepower in a spec motor or some sort of restriction, then youll see the differences in the various aftermarket 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers. but you really need to dyno them against your individual setup.

just get ANYTHING over stock.

the OEM Y8 manifold is my personal favorite for an otherwise stock engine because it still looks stock but performs like an aftermarket DC header.

 

I had the ceramic version many years back, it is leaps better than the bare header they sell that rusts first year. The ceramic is coated inside and out, and very importantly the entire flange/donut at the end is coated. I believe I had mine about 3 seasons, and the ceramic coating held fine and only changed to a slightly less glossy silver.

It is a good header, and quality, but Ive had quite a few friends go with the cheapest stainless steel header / test pipe combo from ebay ($50) and that lasted many years trouble free aswell.
