So about the car over heating doesn't happen when on the freeway but driving on the street and just in park it over heats don't know if it's the radiator fan to replace or the motor to it... but the real problem is my rpm jumping Idk what the problem could be I'm trying to fix it myself with lilttle money so advice would be great help

Does your radiator fan come on with the car running and parked? Does it come on when you turn on your A/C?

If the fan runs for A/C but not otherwise, you probably have a bad thermo switch mounted on the thermostat housing. If it runs on neither, you may have bad wiring or bad fans, although it would be unlikely both fan motors would go bad at the same time.

RPM jumping - your description is too vague. Is your RPM surging at idle? hot or cold engine? Idle surging is pretty common and usually means your FITV (fast idle thermo valve) is out of adjustment or bad. Please describe what you mean by RPM jumping.

BOTH fans should run when the car is on - key to on/pos II.

If the AC is not working - well the fans will not come on just because you press the button.

Eay thing to do, pull the green connector on the t-stat housing where the lower hose connects to the engine. Use a paperclip or piece of wire into the wire side of the connector to jump the wires together. Turn the key to "on"/pos II - Do BOTH fans turn on?

Worrk about the idle later - overheating can/will cause major engine issues so I would solve it first.
