Default 97 honda civic ex #15 alternator fuse keeps blowing

Hey everyone well I just signed up but have been reading on and off and learned alot but I'm stuck right now and I hope someone here has valuable information that they can provide. I have a 97 Honda civic d16y8 5speed vtec and I've had it for almost 2 years lately it's been giving me and issue with the #15 alternator fuse keeps blowing which causes these codes, my eld code to pop up, my speed sensor to go out of whack. And my o2 sensor.. and also my headlights and dash light dim in and out and starts to idle weird, someone showed me a diagram about the wire harness underneath the intake manifold and that there's a bracket and that some wires could be rubbing against it or wires could be damaged in some way and basically saying to check the harness and retape any damaged insulationg or wires. So the Times that I have done it I didn't find nothing and retaped everything and put back but keeps blowing my alternator fuse I have gotten my alternator and battery checked and they are good I have gotten a volt tester and the battery is getting the right amount of volts.. someone suggested that I have a short somewhere in the wire harness possible in one if the wires that run of the #15 alternator fuse underneath the dash.. I'm literally stuck at this point Idk if I should replace the whole wire harness or what.. can someone please help me

My buddy told me to unplug the alternator while the car is running and try to put in a new fuse but it still pops the fuse but I be thing is that when I unplugged the alternator with the car running it seems to have calmed down even with the fuse being blown

If you are blowingfuses it's because you have ashort wire somewhere in the harness.
Download the manual, find the wiring schematic and test your wiring with your dvom for shorts.

I've already seen and have those images saved on my Fone but doesn't do anything car still acts up and keeps blowing fuse. Should I change wire harness? Is it a short within the wire harness itself?

Hey, I'm a new member here. I recently purchased a 1998 Honda Civic Hatchback. I revved it one morning while going to work and i heard a cracking sound, the car lost power and i then saw smoke coming from under the dash where the fuse box is located. I checked and found the No. 15 fuse blown. I changed it and went back home and park the car. The next day I drove it the fuse blew again, and i smell something burning and smoke coming from under dash again. When i checked i realize that the no. 14 wire in the connector C421 connected to the back of the under dash fuse box leading to the main wire harness and connected to the engine harness was badly burnt. In so much that it also melted the insulation of other wires. The burnt wire is connected to the black wire with a yellow stripe that connects to the alternator.
I repaired the wires, replaced the burnt one, replace the fuse and it cranked but didn't start and when i checked the fuse was blown again. I proceeded to inspecting the entire engine harness and there is no sign of and burnt or chaffed wires beneath the intake manifold. The connections on the alternator looks fine too.

Can someone please tell me what could have caused the wire to burn that bad and constantly blowing the no. 15 fuse.
