Default What's your favorite part about the ITRs?

Obviously we all love the ITRs as a whole, complete entity.

If it were just performance, we could get more for less elsewhere.
If it were just handling, we'd all have an S2K or something
If it were just looks, well, thats what body kits are for

It's the total package that we love. I get that. So I realize how unfair this poll is...

But if you had to choose one thing you love most about your R, what would it be?

Looks?
Performance?
Handling?
The fact that it's rare/special?

What's the ONE thing you love MOST?

For me, ever since Jr High, I've loved the look of the 3rd generation Integras.

Obviously when I "grew up" I wanted to get the best of the said generation

Being able to acquire something I have wanted since highschool. When you go to a school with very affulent individuals it makes you desire what they have. But hard work and patience always prevails, so just being able to acquire a ITR is my favorite part. Not to mention the whining noise of the JRSC

Nothing can replace those moments when you're filling up and the guy at the pump beside you asks "Is that a real Type R?".

I don't know if I can pick a favorite aspect of the R... in fact, I'd go so far as to say it's flexibility *IS* my favorite thing about it and the reason I bought another. My EF's were far better autoX cars but the R is just nicer to live with day in and out... hell, I'm looking at doing One Lap in it next year and don't expect to get too badly stomped.

the fake carbon fiber... well honestly I think it would have to be the subtle things it has other dc2's doesnt. Most specifically b18c5, championship white and phoenix yellow, 5 bolt lug nut wheels, recaro seats and of course the badge.

The suspension is still my favorite for oem. Took a beating with stupid unseen potholes but they still work perfectly, no leaks or nothing.

The engine is still the best but you can always build something better these days. My cousin had a chance to scoop up a PY ITR for only 4500, all it was missing was rims and front seats!!! He's just too lame and bs's alot on what he has to offer for a car.......

Deff the " integra type R" decals. Without those it's just another boring car

5 lug and the champ white. Mine is a 97 so I don't have the cool faux carbon bits haha The motor and transmission as well, the seats, even though mine are worn. The fact that in 97 I said I would own one right out of HS. I'm in my mid 30's and finally got one !!

the fact its not just an integra.

all the extra structural parts and bracing. it just feels solid.

PY is a big one for me. where im from there might a handful of type r's. they stick out like crazy because of the R only colors.

all those things.. combined.

my favorite is just the pure driving experience, my R is all stock and its so nice to get in and drive, whether blasting on ramps/ off ramps or just driving. it does it all soo right

I didn't know all the distinguishing features until I looked into getting my first one a few years ago. It's amazing how many people have the Type-R badges on teggys with a sunroof as if that didn't give it away.

I actually saw one that was pretty much a perfect replica (body, interior, engine, etc) but still had the sunroof... it was pretty nice, I'd secretly love to have a sunroof... and cruise control at times haha

If I could pick one thing it would be it's exclusivity. But there are so many aspects of the ITR that I absolutely love. In fact, my love affair with the caR has grown over the years.

You know there are a handful of R's with dealer installed "OE style" sunroofs, right?
