Help Installing Blaster 2 coil
Bump It has a "ballast resistor". I have no idea what it does or where it goes. Its whit colored and has two prongs, the kit includes a wire that has connectors that fir over the prongs, but there is two prongs, and two connectors. So what the hell good will it do? Any Ideas?
"Blaster Coils for points, electronic or MSD ignitions: With a stock points style ignition, a ballast resistor must be placed in-line with the positive terminal of the coil. The following Blaster Coils are supplied with a 0.8 ohm ballast resistor plus a terminal and boot to fit most applications. Mallory Unilite applications also require the ballast resistor."
Do I have a stock points style ignition? I am using the modded dist cap too.

Installation should be as shown in this diagram (PDF document), VTEC and non-VTEC alike.
