Icon2 JDM B20B side mount bracket problem

Hi I have a 98 Crv that the engine blew out on and ordered a Jdm B20b (low compression) engine to replace with. When I bolted the driver's side 2 post bracket to the mount and transmission mount the engine is leaning very low on the driver's side. So my question is for those that have swapped a Jdm B20b into a usdm Crv, what did you do about the engine bracket? The bracket off the old blown engine uses 3 bolts that go into the engine block. The one on the Jdm B20b has 2 bolts going into the block and appears taller than the bracket from the old motor.

I've searched thru countless threads and can't find anything related to jdm b20's into usdm crv's concerning the engine bracket. Also I'm not sure if it makes a difference but this motor has a P8R head on it not the typical P75 head.

I'm guessing my jdm b20b did not come out of a Crv, maybe a Orthia or Stepwagon??

Do you have any pictures to show the bracket?

You're talking about the post mount?

You said it only has 2 bolts going into the block. I have never seen this before. They always have 3 bolts to the block. I have a 1997 B20B in my CRV as we speak. It has 3 holes for the post mount going into the block. If you are talking about the post mount being different in itself then well yeah there are different ones that have different offsets. There is a 2 stud 1 bolt post mount and a couple variations of the 2 stud mounts.

Sorry about that, my fault. I just had to go back and pop the timing covers back off the new jdm motor. The third bolt is just hidden behind the lower timing cover. But yeah the mount bracket that came with the jdm motor is way taller than the original that came on my usdm crv motor. I'll post some pics if I can. The swap is now sitting straight in the crv as it should after swapping the brackets.

Use your original, and ship me the jdm one. I'm experimenting...

That b20 may have been in an Orthia or another JDM car with a B20 in it.

It would just be faster to ask for pictures, or at least the OP post pictures of what he/she's talking about.

Little off-topic but same sort of situation. I noticed that the b18b1 had a lower mount that bolts to the frame next to the engine near the front but the b20b doesnt, is there something i need to do to mount the lower end or does it just kind of swing in the breeze?

They all do aside from DA and EF's (or even earlier models)... You are just missing the A/C bracket. Swap everything over from your B18.
