Default Ramhorn manifold and valve cover catch can fittings-B series

I need to get my crankcase vented properly but am having are hard time deciding how to get it done. My Blackworks manifold doesnt leave room for bungs. I see people welding the bungs on the back of the valve cover but considering oil will run up the lines on acceleration, im trying to avoid this. Anyone know of any low profile fittings or a way to avoid pushing oil? Anyone welded a baffle on the rear?

That's not how it works. Also, you should always baffle the ports inside the valve cover when possible. Back of the valve cover is fine.

Most of the people who weld fittings to the valve cover do so behind the stock baffles... Or they baffle the fittings individually.

iv always heard oil would run to the rear when your moving forward quickly, causing issues. may come up with baffles and try it on rear

There isn't enough oil in the head for that to happen. Traditionally it happened when people were venting the block in the rear using prelude fittings and small hoses. The velocity of the air would literally suck air into the fittings so fast that it took the oil draining from the head with it. You'll never have oil in the pan get sucked up even if you were driving up the side of a mountain... You'd have to be damn near vertical at which point you'd have bigger issues than oil.

People started using 10an fittings off the back of the block (or venting just the valve cover) and the oil sucking stopped.

The larger the diameter the slower the velocity, that's why -10 works. If you put the holes right behind each cam cap it provides enough of a baffle alone. I have been running two on the back of the valve cover and a -10 on the bottom of the catch can to the back port on the block. Been working great for a few years now.

Yea it just needs to be able to prevent oil from having a direct path to the fittings. As long as the air has to curve around something to pass through the fitting it should cause most of the oil suspended in the air to stick to the baffle and not exit the fitting.

The baffle will only keep large quantities of oil from leaving the head, there's nothing you can do about the fine droplets which is why your catchcan should have some sort of filtration media inside of it to remove the oil droplets and vapor from the air passing through the catch can.
