JDM 98 Spec B18C Type R Swap w/ KAAZ LSD Tranny
Up for sale is the heart of my car, or better just referred to as a full motor swap. I've had this engine for almost two years now, and besides the minor troubles I've had along the way it has done me pretty good, and still is as I type this. I do in fact daily drive this motor, but I try not to drive it too too much to keep miles off of it. Everything about it is perfect, except for one minor thing that I just don't have time to fix, and it really causes ZERO problems that I've noticed, which is it has two either scratched or lightly bent valve guides. So with that being said, it burns a very very small amount of oil, and it ONLY smokes just a little under hard deceleration because it builds up combustion and forces oil through the bad areas on those two guides, which I never do anyways in order to preserve the motor. Along with that, I do not abuse this motor, I do not run the holy hell out of it, none, nadda. I literally baby this car, and I tell people all the time "I drive it like a normal everyday person trying to get the best gas mileage possible." With my life story up here, let's get on with what you're here for!
UPDATE 10/17/2014:So a few guys noticed that the Serial Number was low and that it might not be a 98 spec. So I did some research and they turned out to be correct. It does in fact have 96 stamped right above the header, and the serial number reads that it is also a 96. I would like to apologize for my lack of knowledge and information. With that being said, it does however have the 98+ spec ITR 4-1 header instead of the 96 spec 4-2-1. As for the transmission, I do not remember how many teeth are on the ring, but I will say my gearing is short and snappy 1-3 with a slightly longer 4-5, which is said to be the 4.7FD transmission. I'm not able to make any promises on which one it really is, but I just do not have time to open the casing to check. I do again apologize for my errors and I will adjust my price accordingly. Thank you guys for helping clear this up.
NEW PRICE = $3900 OBO
96 Spec B18C ITR motor
-No Power Steering but does have cold A/C!
(((Motor has exactly 11k miles on it after rebuild (had around 70,xxx miles before)
New OEM Honda everything-->
-Heat Cycled 3 times & 1k miles break-in period was done correctly,
-Piston Rings/ Oil rings,
-Honed Cylinder Walls,
-Cleaned Piston rods & Piston heads,
-Rod Bearings,
-Head Gasket,
-I.M. Gasket,
-E.M. Gasket,
-Valve Cover Gasket set,
-Supertech Valve Seals.
The one thing that was not replaced was the Timing Belt because it is still in excellent shape.
No, I do not have paperwork as the guy who did it is a good friend of mine,
BUT I do have plenty of pictures of the rebuild process if wanted!)))
-Carbon Fiber Intake (does have K&N DC sports filter, just not pictured),
-AEM Rubber Coupling,
-Original ITR Header w/ Custom Skid Plate,
-Civic Si Motor mounts,
-OBDII To OBDI Conversion Harness,
-Chipped P28 ECU,
-Full Apexi WS2 exhaust can be added in,

Literally the motor is near pristine.
No knocks, no ticking, ZERO leaks, no hesitation, and only smokes faintly under decel as stated above.
S80 Type R LSD Transmission
Has around 82,xxx miles on it now.
-Competition Stage 1.5 Clutch added 5,xxx miles ago,
-Comp OEM release bearing,
-New OEM Slave Cylinder added along with the clutch,
-KAAZ 1.5 Race LSD (a little overkill I know, but it is an awesome LSD),
-KAAZ Gear Oil is used to keep the LSD lubricated,
-OEM Civic Si axles,
-Fairly New Driver & Passenger Axle seals,
Shifts amazing, no grinds, no pop outs, nothing!
I'm probably missing stuff, so if so I'll add the missed items.
As you can tell I try to take care of this motor (and the car) the best I possibly can since I have to rely on it to get me around everyday.
I do let the car warm up to operating temperature before driving it.
Finally to the price LOL.
The KAAZ LSD was $1,300 and some change new.
So my asking price on the FULL swap is -->
-$4,200 OBO.
I'm located in Winston Salem, NC.

You may be correct, but this is the matching transmission and it is in fact the 4.7 FD transmission. The only time it has been cracked open was to install the diff, so nobody had changed out the FD before. I'll do a bit of research though. Thanks!
